Mr. Ahmed has served on the board of NGS since its creation as one of the founding members. As the Principal of the American Islamic School, he brings a wealth of experience as an educator and Lead Inspector for NEASC, for which he received the 2022 Service Award. Mr. Ahmed's comprehensive involvement in education, including safeguarding, curriculum development, and leadership, enriches our school’s strategic decisions.
Mr. Tahir Farooq

Mr. Tahir has been on the NGS Advisory Board since its inception as a founding member. With a background as an engineer and educator in Saudi Arabia and Canada, he serves as a liaison to the financial board of NGS. Mr. Tahir contributes his expertise in finance, facilities management, and education to support the school’s operational and developmental needs.
Sheikh Mohammed AlTaher
Sheikh Mohammed, a respected figure in Dubai, serves as the Senior Mufti at the Department of Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities. His deep Islamic knowledge supports the ethos of NGS, where he focuses on guiding the Islamic committee and advising on key decisions aligned with our faith-based values.
Ms. Nazia Daha
As the Principal of New Academy School in Dubai, Ms. Nazia is a transformational leader well-versed in American curriculum standards and incorporating an Islamic perspective into education. Her expertise in assessment, curriculum, and teaching ensures high standards in our academic and spiritual offerings.
Ms. Sana Syed
A teacher at NGS for over five years, Ms. Sana holds a Master’s degree in Education and brings more than a decade of experience in Early Years education. She represents staff on the Advisory Board, contributing her expertise in teaching and learning, along with her passion for mathematics, to enhance the school’s academic goals.
Ms. Natasha Shah
Ms. Natasha, a parent of two NGS students, has extensive experience in education planning and policy, including her tenure as a university guidance counselor and her work with ADEK. With a Master’s in Education Policy, Organization, and Leadership, she is a valuable member of the board, advocating for quality education at NGS.
Ms. Faiza Kazim

A dedicated NGS community member for five years and parent of a Grade 3 student, Ms. Faiza has served as a class representative and member of the Parents’ Association. Her strong understanding of the school’s foundational mission and vision, especially in Early Years and Elementary education, makes her a key contributor to the board.
